Overview

The peerScholar peer reviews will be used to (a) contribute to your project grade, and (b) help the instructors identify teams that need a little extra help to work well together.

Each peerScholar assessment will be available for a days.

Start and due dates will be communicated to you by the instructors. These dates will also be listed in the Weekly Schedule for your course.

When a peerScholar assessment is available, you will be able to access it via D2L, under CONTENT.

The contribution of peerScholar evaluations to student grades is defined in the pages Milestone 1 (MEC325), Milestone 2 (MEC325), and Final Report (MEC325).

Once you enter the peerScholar assessment tool, you will be presented with a screen similar to the image below.

Across the top, you will see the names of all your teammates.

You must rate ALL your teammates before submitting your assessment.

(NOTE: The COMMENT box has been moved to the bottom of the form.)

For each area of assessment, read the documentation below for that area, and then score your teammates on a scale of 0-4, where each level is defined as follows.

  1. completely lacking
  2. fails to meet expectations
  3. marginally meets expectations
  4. meets expectations
  5. exceeds expectations

Once you have assessed all your teammates, make sure you SAVE and SUBMIT & CLOSE the form.

It is each student’s responsibility to complete the entire assessment for all teammates. Students failing to complete the assessment for any reason will lose all marks associated with that assessment (unless a verified ACR is provided in a timely manner).
